WebKit Arbitrary code execution vulnerability in the extended subsystem

DESCRIPTION

The extension subsystem in Google Chrome before 17.0.963.78 does not properly handle history navigation, which allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by leveraging a "Universal XSS (UXSS)" issue. Google Chrome is prone to multiple security vulnerabilities. An attacker can exploit this issue to execute arbitrary script code in the context of the user running the application in order to steal cookie-based authentication credentials and other sensitive data, which may aid further attacks. Google Chrome versions prior to 17.0.963.78 are vulnerable. Google Chrome is a web browser developed by Google (Google).
