DESCRIPTION

An out-of-bounds read was addressed with improved bounds checking. This issue is fixed in iOS 15.1 and iPadOS 15.1, macOS Monterey 12.0.1, tvOS 15.1, watchOS 8.1, Security Update 2021-007 Catalina. Processing a maliciously crafted file may disclose user information. iPadOS , iOS , Apple Mac OS X Multiple Apple products contain out-of-bounds read vulnerabilities.Information may be obtained. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information on affected installations of Apple macOS. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.The specific flaw exists within the Deserialize function in AudioCodecs. Crafted data in a LOAS file can trigger a read past the end of an allocated data structure.
