DESCRIPTION

AVEVA System Platform 2020 stores sensitive information in cleartext, which may allow access to an attacker or a low-privileged user. AVEVA System Platform is an application software of British AVEVA company. A responsive, standards-driven and scalable foundation for regulatory, enterprise SCADA, MES and IIoT applications. A security vulnerability exists in the AVEVA System Platform, a successful exploitation of which could expose a network user account or the logged-in user's clear text credentials to an authorized low-privilege user. Clear-text credentials will also be exposed if a user creates a diagnostic memory dump of the relevant process and saves it to an unprotected location that an unauthorized malicious user can access
